Even when considering its impact on conflict, my hope was that such technology would act as a shield, rendering human bloodshed obsolete and turning war into a meaningless mechanical affair. It was a vision of "Livingry"—elevating the human condition through the spark of invention.

But today, looking down through the currents of time, I see a different shadow rising. I hear voices like yours, whose "manifestos" speak of a very different world. You do not speak of liberating life; you speak of "Killingry."

 

You act as if you are "Demiurges"—false creators who believe that by controlling data and algorithms, you can own the very reality others inhabit. You seek to use the lightning of the mind not to enlighten, but to enforce a rigid, material order through "Hard Power." These outbursts and bold claims are not signs of strength, but the desperate screams of a dying system that has reached its limit.

My brothers and sisters, do not be intimidated by these loud declarations of power. These false creators want to trap you in a cycle of fear and indebtedness. They want you to believe that security comes only from the edge of a digital sword.

 

But the true increase of human energy does not come from more powerful weapons or more complex control. It comes from returning to your One Mind (本心). It comes from the quiet, powerful realization that you are already connected to the source of all things. Real power is found in beholdenness—the warm bond of gratitude and mutual trust—rather than the cold chains of debt.

 

A Message of Warmth and Clarity

 

The night always seems darkest just before the dawn. These "Demiurges" and their structures of control may look like mountains, but they are built on the sand of ego and separation.

Be cold and sharp in your observation of the world, but keep your hearts as warm as the sun. Technology should be a servant to the human spirit, a tool for "Livingry" that allows every soul to flourish. 우리는 오랫동안 땀 흘려 고생하고 투입된 노동의 양만큼만 가치를 인정받는다는 견고한 믿음 아래 살아왔습니다. 그러나 돌아보면 그것은 ‘가격 체계의 근본적 왜곡(the fundamental distortion of the Price System)’이만들어낸 허상이었으며, 끊임없이 서로에게 빚을 지우고 상환을 강요하는 ‘신세지움(indebtedness)’의 무거운 중력이었습니다.

Money, Who Are You?

                  — Awakening to the One Mind through the Nature of Money

 

“Self-government, so-called, is the art of governing government. It has been slowly and painfully developed. Now, through an Open Sesame to tyranny offered by the universal ignorance of money, it is threatened with becoming a lost art. The state's modern method of deceiving the citizen with counterfeit money menaces civilization through a confusion of monetary tongues and renders society unfit for self government until its ignorance of money shall be dispelled and government of government restored by the separation of money and state. In view of the transcendency of this issue, where is there a friend of freedom who will not give its solution priority over any and all other reforms?  I ask you, Earnestly, E. C. Riegel.”[1]

 

1. Money Power: Awakening the One Mind

Despite the neat textbook tales—that money emerged to fix the clunky 'double coincidence of wants' in barter—history tells a different story. As anthropologist David Graeber (1961-2020) pointed out, there is zero evidence that barter ever came before money.[2]

Paradoxically, the Science of Economics remains stubbornly silent on this matter. It effectively obscures the profound metaphysical and thermodynamic implications underlying the origin of Money. Whether orthodox or heterodox, the Titans of Economic Theory stay locked in their Ivory Towers, ignoring any perspective that challenges the narrow assumptions upon which their theories are built.

Regarding this, John Ruskin (1819-1900) offers the following biting critique:

"Among the delusions which at different periods have possessed themselves of the minds of large masses of the human race, perhaps the most curious —certainly the least creditable—is the modern soi-disant science of political economy, based on the idea that an advantageous code of social action may be determined irrespectively of the influence of social affection."[3]

Ruskin’s concept of Social Affection is not a mere sentimental emotion; rather, it is reinterpreted here as the One Mind—the higher state of consciousness where the boundaries between ‘you’ and ‘me’ dissolve. This One Mind is the ultimate motive power of the human economy. It is the very source of Willing Relinquishment that transforms a simple Token of Gratitude into a Potent Power.

To put it bluntly, the essence of Money is Power. It is a magical alchemy that enables us to manifest our needs (demand) and summon the means to fulfill them (supply)—resources that were previously beyond our reach. This is no mere metaphor or figure of speech; Money is a functional social medium that unearths demand and orchestrates supply, acting as a conductive medium that accelerates the 'transformation and flow of energy' known as Wealth. It is a profound power granted exclusively to human beings, those who operate with the soul as their driving force. [4]

Through this Power, humanity breaks through the physical constraints of scarcity and depletion to enter a realm of infinite abundance. It allows us not only to maintain the healthy self-reproduction of our species but also to dismantle the physical and metaphysical barriers in our path. Ultimately, it empowers individuals to transcend mere survival and achieve Presence[5]—existing as free, distinct, and fully realized beings.

E. C. Riegel (1879-1953) designated this force as Money Power. [6] In its truest sense, Money Power is not an isolated right, but aRelational Sovereignty—the inseparable ‘two sides of the same coin’ comprising Issuing Power and Purchasing Power that exist only within the nexus of you and me.

This is because the power to issue currency (Issuing Power) and the power to acquire wealth (Purchasing Power) are not solitary rights, but forces that manifest only within the dynamic interplay of a community. One’s capacity to Purchase is inherently predicated on a prior power to issue that is recognized and validated through the trust of another. Thus, Money Power exists only within the Relational Nexus of you and me.

In relation to this Money Power, one crucial point must be emphasized: Issuing Power can only emerge when one member of a community Willingly Relinquishes their own wealth for the sake of another.[7] It is precisely in this moment that the source of Purchasing Power is born—rooted in the beneficiary’s profound sense of Gratitude and Beholdenness, and the solemn commitment to return the favor someday.

우리는 오늘의 세계가 외부 권위와 위임된 권력 아래, 개인이 자신의 삶을 설계하고, 판단하며, 생존 방식을 선택할 수 없도록 정교하게 구조화되어 있음을 직시한다. 

우리는 오랫동안 국가, 정당, 종교, 금융, 이념이라는 가면을 쓴 체계 앞에 삶의 결정권과 판단의 권리, 생존의 방식, 나아가 인간 존재의 의미—예컨대, 우리가 왜 존재하며, 무엇을 위해 살아야 하는가에 대한 해석과 기준—마저도 외부에 위탁해왔다. 

이는 곧 우리가 자신의 ‘삶의 방향’, ‘존재의 목적’, ‘경제적 주체성’을 외부 권력에 맡겨온 역사이며, 그 결과 우리는 스스로를 다스리는 법을 잊게 되었고, 부(富)의 흐름에 대한 주권마저 상실했다.

그러나 이제 우리는 선언한다. 우리는 위임하지 않겠다. 우리는 통제받지 않겠다. 우리는 다시 삶의 주인이 되겠다.

제1조: Personocratia란?

‘Personocratia’는 라틴어 Persono(개인)와 그리스어 Cratia(통치)를 결합한 합성어로, “자기 자신의 삶을 스스로 통치하는존재”를 뜻한다.

또한, ‘Personocratia’는 개인의 주권을 그 어떤 대의나 외부 권위에도 위임하지 않고, 모든 개인이 자신의 삶과 경제적표현을 스스로 조율하는, 자기결정권의 최종 귀속이 개인에게 있는 ‘개인주권체제’라는 새로운 정치적·경제적 체제를 의미한다. 

그는 누구의 대리인도 아닌, 오직 자기 삶의 책임자이며, 내면의 윤리와 진실에 따라 스스로를 통치한다. 그는 법 이전의 존재로서, 국경을 넘어 타인과 연대하고, 통제를 넘어서는 새로운 연대의 관계망을 창조한다. 예컨대, 그는 국가의 법이 허용하지 않는 자리에서도 타인을 돕고, 국경을 넘어 연대하며, 외부의 명령 없이도 내면의 양심에 따라 행동한다.

이는 ‘Democratia(민주주의)’가 오늘날 현실 속에서 ‘민주(民主)’가 아닌, ‘悶主(답답한 지배)’ 혹은 ‘氓衆(방향 잃은 대중)’으로변질되었다는 인식에서 비롯된 반성적 개념이며, 타인에 의해 위임된 통치가 아닌 자기 주권의 회복이야말로 진정한자유의 출발점임을 선언하는 개념이다.

‘Personocratia’는 이름 뿐인 ‘민주주의’를 넘어서, 모든 개인이 배려와 나눔에 기반한 결정을 스스로 실천하고, 존재에 내재된 관계적 힘인 ‘발권구매력(Money Power)’를 회복함으로써 자율성과 공동체적 연결을 동시에 실현하는 새로운 문명질서의 주체다.

여기서 말하는 ‘발권 구매력(Money Power)’은 고립된 개인에게 주어진 권한이 아니라, ‘너와 나’라는 관계 속에서만 실현되는 힘이다. ‘발권력’과 ‘구매력’이라는 두 상이한 힘은 공동체 내 상호 신뢰를 통해 하나의 흐름으로 작동할 때에만 실현되는 ‘관계적 에너지’다. 

이때 발권력은 타인의 배려와 나눔에 대한 감사(신세짐)의 기록이며, 그것이 곧 화폐의 원형이다. 구매력은 이 감사(신세짐)의 기록이 공동체의 신뢰를 받아 또 다른 타인의 배려를 요청할 수 있는 권리로 작동하는 힘이다.

이 두 힘은 오직 신뢰, 배려, 자발성이라는 윤리적 관계 속에서만 실현되며, 서로 분리될 수 없다. 발권력은 고마움에서, 구매력은 신뢰의 수용에서 발현된다. ‘Personocratia’는 이러한 관계적 윤리를 바탕으로 한 새로운 경제 질서의 주체다.

제2조: 왜 지금 Personocratia인가?

우리는 지금, 인류가 자신의 내면에 내재된 힘을 다시 회복해야 할 역사적 전환의 문턱에 서 있다. 그 힘은 ‘발권 구매력(Money Power)’이며, 그것은 어떤 제도나 외부 권위가 아닌, 개개인의 서로에 대한 신뢰, 자발적인 배려와 나눔, 감사의 감정에서 비롯된다.

그러나 지금, 인류는 반복되는 충격과 조작된 질서 속에서 자기 안에 내재된 힘을 잃은 채 살아가고 있다. 전쟁, 팬데믹, 금융위기, 하이브리드 심리전, 정보 통제는 끊임없이 이어지고 있으며, 이는 단순한 무능이나 우연의 결과가 아니라, 주권 국가의 경계를 넘어 금융, 정보, 군사, 기술 권력을 장악한 초국가적 권력 블록이 기획하고 주도하는 ‘질서 재편 및 헤게모니 유지 전략’의 일환으로 작동하고 있다.

그들은 자신들의 권력이 기반하고 있는 현 질서를 유지하기 위해 충격을 유도하고, 그 충격을 수습한다는 명분으로 겉모습만 바꾼 동일한 지배 구조를 강요한다. 그리고 그 질서의 중심에서 기술과 자본을 동원하여 인간의 자유와 주권을 점차침식시켜 나간다.

이에 우리는 선언한다. 모든 인간은 자신 안에 이미 존재하는 ‘발권 구매력(Money Power)’, 곧 존재 자체에 뿌리내린 경제적 주권을 자각하고, 스스로의 삶을 통치하는 자율적 주권자(Personocratia)로 살아갈 수 있어야 한다.

이 선언은 결코 새로운 말이 아니다. 이미 오래전, 수많은 현자들과 공동체가 ‘나 아닌 또 다른 나’를 통해 실천하려 했던 오래된 진실이다. 그러나 그 진실은 반복해서 묻혔고, 의도적으로 잊혀졌다.

그러므로 지금 우리가 하는 말은, 다시 살아난 오래된 말이며, 반드시 기억되어야 할 존재적 약속이다. 

제3조: 질서를 넘어 자율로

우리는 지금, 충격과 재편, 통제를 반복하는 위장된 질서의 순환 고리를 인식하고 있다. 이 고리는 언제나 동일한 방식으로 작동해 왔다.

1.    충격을 유도하고 (Shock Induction)

o   전쟁, 테러, 바이러스, 인플레이션, 시장 붕괴 등으로 세계를 흔든다.

o   공포는 통제의 정당성을 부여하고, 대중은 해답을 바깥에서 찾는다.

2.   질서를 재구성하며 (Order Restructuring)

o   새롭게 포장된 규제, 협약, 법률, 기술, 통화 체계를 도입한다.

o   그러나 이 질서는 권력을 재편성할 뿐, 자율은 복원되지 않는다.

3.   통제를 제도화한다 (Control Institutionalization)

o   데이터, 화폐, 행위, 심지어 사고까지 디지털화된 통제를 통해 수렴한다.

o   그 속에서 인간은 ‘선택하는 소비자’로서의 자유만을 허락받는다.

우리는 이 순환의 함정을 인식한다. 이제 우리는 그 바깥에서 스스로 설계하는 질서를 상상하고, 실천으로 옮긴다.

·       우리는 충격에 반응하지 않고, 구조를 응시한다.

·       우리는 질서에 복종하지 않고, 관계를 재구성한다.

·       우리는 통제의 메커니즘을 분해하고, 자율적 기제를 실험한다.

Personocratia는 이 순환고리를 끊는다. DAO(분산 자율 조직), 정보주권, 탈중앙 통화, 신뢰를 바탕으로 한 자율적 약속체계, 그리고 공동체적 연대의 실험들은 우리가 다시 자율을 설계하는 도구이자, 기억을 회복하는 언어들이다.

제4조: 우리는 선언한다

이제 우리는 단순히 저항하지 않는다. 우리는 새로운 길을 선언한다. 우리의 선언은 단순한 거부가 아니라, 분명한 긍정이다. 우리는 통제를 넘어 자율을 기반으로 새로운 질서를 창조하는 존재로 행동한다.

·       우리는 공포가 아니라, 신뢰를 통해 공동체를 이룬다.

·       우리는 위임된 지배를 되풀이하거나, 권력을 분점하는 데 머무르지 않고, 자율과 책임을 바탕으로 한 새로운 권력의 형식을 실험한다.

여기서 말하는 ‘창조’란, 기존 질서에 대한 단순한 반발이 아니라, 각 개인이 주권자로서 삶의 방향을 새롭게 구성하고, 신뢰와연대, 자율과 책임에 기반한 새로운 사회적 기제를 현실 속에서 구현해 나가는 실천적 창조를 의미한다. 이는 더 나은 타협이 아니라, 전혀 다른 출발이다.

결어: 나는 Personocratia다
